This is my altered portrait of the Cooley High character Stone. For this version I digitally added one of my photos as the background. Stone and his real life friend were actual gang members who were selected to act in the movie. About a year after the movie was released Robert was shot and killed. Stone would later serve time in prison for armed robbery. After his release, with the help of one of the actresses from the movie, he was able to turn his life around. Cooley High is a cult movie filmed in the 1970's but the story was based in the 1960's in and around the dangerous Cabrini Green Housing Projects and other areas in the north side of Chicago. https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2015/06/26/417185907/40-years-later-the-cast-of-cooley-high-looks-back
