This is my mixed media work where I've combined a sunset photo my brother captured and added a photo I took of boxer Mike Tyson. I've also added a famous quote from "Do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas.

Me--white, rural, Midwestern, baby boomer, working class--what connection could I possibly have with Mike Tyson. Well, never met him but know his rage and I know suffocating self doubt and hard luck--maybe that's it. You undoubtedly know him and this work hits the home spot. I also read your bio and only wish my life was so expansive and daring as yours--oh, well, I still get by and thanks for your example and your art.
